The big reveal!

I think it is finally time to reveal who has been making this most excellent of catblogs. When I'm not asleep, that is.

Yes! It is none other than I, Nemo Mitchell - furriest cat in town, who has the media wherewithal and internet savvy to upload our photos and inform our public about our busy lives. I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I am the brains behind this outfit. Not to mention the beauty.

And that is not all, oh no! While surfing the best cat websites I came across the Infinite Cat Project where I now reside as cat 1627, with my name in lights forever! Muahaha!

Infinitely yours,

Nemo, cat blogger extraordinaire.

Packing up

After our five month holiday here at 47, we are now preparing to move back home. We've had lots of fun and lots of new experiences. New games to play, new places to explore and new people to get to know. So all in all, quite a similar experience to Brian and Tessa have had - and we have hardly had to lift a paw from the sofa!

So now we're packing our boxes and getting ready to go home. Just working on our expenses for our second home allowance - we'll be flipping it next week for tax purposes. Seems you can claim for anything these days, let's add fish and ice cream to the list!

Summer days

I wonder what Nemo had been doing that he didn't even have the strength to stand up while we were waiting for dinner! He must have worn himself out with all the snoozing in the sun he has been doing this week.

After many months of campaigning to be let in the hut, Suso was delighted to be finally allowed in! She discovered all sorts of thrilling things in there, like boxes, spiders, boxes of spiders and plenty of hiding places...

At the barbeque

At the weekend we had a barbeque so we got lots of cuddles. Nemo and Joni are good friends and she took this portrait of him. He just wanted to make sure he was the centre of attention and no one else was in the frame!

Suso loves hanging out by the pond, prowling in the undergrowth and drinking from the stream. She also enjoyed some barbequed chicken!

Nemo has a double!

47's garden wildlife has taken to impersonating Nemo! We are wondering if this is a ploy to fool him into thinking there are no birds to chase here, just very small blue cats (with wings).

Other than birdwatching, we have been doing the usual lounging in the conservatory. We have to get up sometimes when it gets too hot!

These are a few of our favourite things...

Here is Nemo performing his stick trick. The Johnsons hold out a stick for him and he holds it with one paw and bites off bits of stick. There are small piles of stick all over the garden, he is very proud of himself!

Here is Suso on TV. Oh wait, she's still in her box! It's a reverse TV because it is her who is watching us!

Easter Day - or is it Boxing day?

We have been amusing ourselves in this box and have been learning to take turns. We like the sunroof feature as we can see everything that is going on around us. Nemo is particularly fond of hanging out on the roof!

Happy Easter to all our catblog readers! Suso isn't into chocolate but Nemo had a nibble of Lucy's Easter nest - a perfect combination of chocolate and sticks (his favourite snack).

Sneak week

This week we did a lot of stalking. Nemo stalked Suso in the bushes by the pond, can you spot us? Then we both stalked Uncle Brian by playing grandmother's footsteps behind him while he was working, teehee!

Happy families are all alike; every cat family is happy in its own way.

We thought it was supposed to be dog owners who look like their pets, not cat owners who turn into cats!

Spring has sprung!

What a difference from last week when we were huddled round the fire! Now it is spring and we're outside with the flowers. We're eyeing all the frogspawn and anticipating the millions of new playmates.

Sending all our best purrs to make Tessa better. Prr prr.

Best friends!

I don't know what came over us the other day but we decided to cuddle up next to each other by the fire. Nemo was the warmest, what with all his fur and heat coming from both sides! Suso has been sitting on the mat every evening looking hopefully at the empty grate, but it was a very short cold snap.

My stick!

We had a staring match in the garden when we both decided to go for the same stick...

Monday, 2 March 2009

Today was lovely and sunny, Nemo had a good wash on this special occasion! Suso enjoyed exploring the pond full of frogs.

In the garden

Today it felt like spring so we had a play in the garden. We looked at the snowdrops and the frogs in the pond, which are nearly as big as us!

Fun and games

Today we amused ourselves by playing hide and seek. Suso might have had an advantage in that she is smaller and darker than Nemo, but he was quite happy to lie down and count to 1000 while Suso found a good place to hide!

Evidence!

We had a bit more snow but not all of us elected to stay indoors in the warm...

Guess who?

We have been experimenting in the art of shadow portraiture this week. Guess who this is? We'll give you a clue - it isn't Shadow, even though it looks very like him!

The snow has all disappeared so we have ventured outside again. Nemo was very brave and scared off a fox or leopard or combination thereof which dared to come into the garden.

We are very excited to see we now have followers of our catblog! Our fame is obviously spreading. Extra purrs to you.

Sunday

Today we're lying around keeping warm as it's still too cold to go out. Luckily there are plenty of warm laps to sit on. Last Sunday we had lots of visitors come to entertain us so we played musical laps. Purrs to all. Prr.

Settling In

We're now on holiday at Number 47 while Brian & Tessa are away on their round the world trip.

It's quite snowy outside, but we still found a patch of sun. Better than getting our feet wet outside!

Suso is quite happy rehearsing her part in 'The Princess and the Pea' with the cushions on her chair.
